BOOTS IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
Brand new festival in 2012 with national callers
Deborah-Carroll Jones & Jon Jones. Dates are April 6-8th, 2012 at the
Pendleton Convention Center, Oregon.
April 27-28, 2012 in Baker
City, OR. It is normally on the fourth weekend of April. This long running annual event is
considered a "MUST ATTEND" festival
by many dancers. The food tables are loaded with tempting goodies. You won't
find a more friendly group than the Elkhorn Swingers. If you haven't been
before, make plans to go. You will be glad that you did!
MUDDY FROGWATER
August 18 & 19, 2012 - Milton-Freewater, Oregon. Come join the Muddy Frogs for a fun filled weekend! On Saturday morning we’ll be dancing on our club float in the Muddy Frogwater parade. Ride with us, dance on the float if you’d like, or just enjoy the parade. We’ll have a dinner Saturday evening at 6:00 pm. Our Mainstream dance will run from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or so, with Pete Murray and Tina Allaway calling & cueing. Sunday morning we’ll be dancing in the city park (Yantis Park) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eat some of the fresh picked corn that’s barbecued in the husk, and husked for you; then if you desire, they’ll dip it in melted butter - sweet and tasty! Take advantage of the numerous other community events that are also taking place this weekend. Watch for our dance flyer that will be coming out later this year, so “Hop Off Your Log and Come Dance With a Frog!”
WALLOWA MOUNTAIN
RENDEZVOUS
The weekend after Labor Day.
I won't even try to describe the FUN things Bill & Neva
Reid come up with. Bill's square dance calling and Neva's
enthusiastic round dance
queing keeps excitement on the dance floor all weekend (Yo, Neva!).
Also, the scenic beauty of the Wallowa Lake area is fabulous. We'll see you in
a square there. Lodging Guide here.
